About Me
Hi! My name is Ephraiem Sarabamoun. I got my PhD in physics (2024) and my BS in math and physics (2020) from the University of Virginia.
I used to work in experimental condensed matter. I am interested in helping build safe AGI.
I now work full time as an independent AI safety researcher, and I founded Humanity First Research for this work. I build and test systems that automate AI safety research, and I study AI loyalty, meaning whether AI agents stay faithful to the people they work for. Before going full time, I worked as a software engineer @Capital One.
